In order to comply with a new Illinois law (HB 1711), all Illinois pet stores can no longer sell puppies, or kittens from high quality, federally licensed puppy, and kitten breeders. Despite the fact that we have spent years visiting and inspecting breeder facilities and developing relationships with breeders who far exceed USDA minimum standards, the State of IL does not believe you should have the right to purchase a puppy in a pet store. Instead, they have mandated you can only travel to another state, use a shelter or rescue, or take your chances with an online seller, with little to no regulations.
We hope this will not always be the case. If you believe you should have the right to purchase a puppy from a reputable breeder through a pet store, please contact your state legislator and let them know you object to HB1711.
In the meantime, we hope to still see you at any of our locations for any of your other pet needs.
